Pick of the Month - October October-1-smPick of the Month - October October-2-smI became a gemologist because of my fascination with opals (October's birthstone) and the opal in this pendant has me fascinated all over again.....wonderful play of color even when viewed in the shadows. This free-form, slightly pear shaped opal is set in a swirl of diamond encrusted 14kt yellow gold and has a large bail so it looks fabulous on a chain (shown on a 14kt yellow gold spiga link) or an omega. A one-of-a-kind piece due to the opal itself.

• 14kt yellow gold with rhodium plating around the diamond area

• measures 1 1/4 inches in length and 2/3 inches across

• 3.67ct opal, 27=0.33cttw diamonds

• 18 inch 14kt yellow gold spiga link with lobster clasp measures 1.0mm in diameter
